'क्रिटीक' दिल्ली विश्व विद्यालय के छात्रों, अध्यापकों व पूर्व छात्रों के क्लेक्टिव द्वारा निकाली जाती है। विचारों के
इतिहास में क्रिटीक शब्द का प्रयोग किसी विषय पर पहले से विद्यमान समझ की गहरी तथा
रेडिकल आलोचना के लिये किया जाता है। क्रिटीक प्रचलित ज्ञान की आंतरिक सीमाओं और
मान्यताओं को रेखान्तिक करते हैं तथा आगे का रास्ता साफ करते हैं। क्रिटीक पत्रिका
एसे ही ध्येय से प्रेरित है, लेकिन इसके सरोकार वर्तमान सामाजिक तथा राजनीतिक
मुद्दे हैं। हमारा विश्वास है कि मानवता आर्थिक शोषण, जेण्डर, जातीय, , नस्लीय, साम्प्रदायिक, नृजातीय तथा विकलांगता से सम्बन्धित उत्पीडनों और
पर्यावरण के विनाश से मुक्त समाज बना सकती है। हममें से कुछ लोग न्यू सोश्लिस्ट इनिशिएटिव से जुडे हैं जो कि हिन्दुस्तान में वाम राजनीति से जुड़ा एक
विचारधारत्मक प्लेटफॉर्म है।
'Critique' is brought out by a collective of students, faculty and alumni of the University of Delhi. In the history of thought a critique refers to a deep and radical engagement with an existing set of understandings. A critique unravels underlying assumptions and internal limitations of a body of knowledge to open new paths. Critique magazine has a similar motivation, though it is focussed on contemporary social and political issues. It is committed to the belief that humanity can create a society free of economic exploitation, gender, caste, racial, ethnic, communal and disability related oppressions, and ecological degradation. Some of us are associated with New Socialist Initiative, which is an ideological platform for the regeneration of left politics in India.
